Home Staging and Organization

click on any picture to scroll through!

I don't know how many times I have gone to an open house and thought, "If only they would move this bed, or change this paint color, or take down these curtains to let more light in..." I have staged three houses and all sold within three weeks! Now these were also great houses but I think people underestimate how inexpensive changes such as paint, rearranging, painting a counter top or buying a few bright accents can change a house. Staging is not about personal taste. Staging is about design and creating an atmosphere that feels open yet cozy, well-lit and warm, neat and fresh. I would be happy to come to your home and consult with you regarding getting your house ready for sale or just giving a face lift to the home you already love! Email me at kricket22@gmail.com and let's talk!

Before

After. Stone was painted to soften its color. Grates also softened with paint. Outside of fireplace changed from gold to grey. Cabinets painted white and knobs changed. Chair railing and grass cloth on wall painted. Inexpensive mantel purchased from Lowes.

This room wasn't conducive to curtains but I wanted some color added to the room. So I made my own window valence.

Entry way before.

Entry way after. I painted the hand rail black to update the room. Stripped the wallpaper and added fresh paint. Also repainted the white molding to freshen it. I collected old picture frames and spray painted them black. I also cut my own mattes to frame family pictures to hang in the stairwell.

Hallway guest bath before.
After. I repainted the cabinets, added a medicine cabinet, and switched out the cabinet knobs. I also bought an inexpensive mirror from Home Goods to replace the old one. New light fixtures and faucets also bought inexpensively. A new shower curtain and new wall paint updates the bath.

Once in a while the inquiry after how to appraise moving expenses is the amount to tip the movers. The interstate moving tips may fluctuate somewhere in the range of 5% and 10% of the aggregate sum contingent upon the quantity of individuals required with your movement.
